About DPD
Greetings Digital Photographers!
Welcome to Digital Photography Daily. Your daily fix for digital photo news, offers, tips & techniques. Our mission is to provide you with very timely, daily updates that occur in the world of digital photography. We’re camera junkies and artists just like you, and we love nothing better than to to talk shop, and this is the place to do just that!
Digital Photography Daily is the brainchild of Kevin L. Moss, digital photography author and course instructor. Kevin’s constantly developing courseware, testing new image editing solutions, researching and playing with all the new camera gear that comes out. You’ll see a lot of his work here as time goes on. Currently Kevin is offering his latest book, Improve Your Photography – 50 Digital Photography Tips & Techniques for free download on this site. All you have to do is register to receive the book. You can look forward to similar offerings in the future.
Here are a few of our operating principles:
Mailing List
If you opt-in to our mailing list to either receive a free copy of Kevin’s book or to receive our weekly newsletters, you can rest assured that we do NOT share or sell our mailing list to anyone. That’s a guarantee. The web is a cool place if we choose to keep it that way, so no shenanigans here. You won’t be getting spammed from Digital Photography Daily (we hate that too). You’ll just be receiving our weekly newsletter and special announcements when they come out. We do respect and obey the spam laws around here too, so you can always opt-out of the mailing list if you want to at any time.
Advertisements
If you haven’t noticed by now, we do host advertising and affiliate links on Digital Photography Daily. It is a way to help pay for the site so we don’t have to charge membership or subscription fees. This way, we can continue to bring you great info on a daily basis. That doesn’t mean that you’ll be blasted by advertisements on the site. Kevin is a stickler for placing advertising so it doesn’t get in the way of your enjoyment. Also, you’re not going to see any of those context-aware advertisements here, like the ones where you get those annoying pop-ups every time you move your cursor over the text of an article. How annoying! Nope, we don’t like those either, they are a pain in the “you know what”. We do however provide links to digital photography products here and there, however, they are there for your clicking, if you choose to click, not us choosing for you. Are we cool so far?
One last word on our advertisers and affiliates. We don’t place advertisements or links to companies that we never have either done business with in the past, or know by pure reputation. We do like a little revenue here and there, but not at the expense of opening the site up to anybody out there that might be selling something. Whenever you click on a link, you’re taken out of the site, and your business is then just between you and the advertiser. We still do want to know if you have any problems with any of the vendors we allow to advertise here, or provide affiliate links to. Email us a inquiries@digitalphotographydaily.com if you have any issues.
Your privacy is a big concern here at DPD. In adherence to laws regarding spam and just following polite rules of the Internet road, we do indeed publish a Policy Statement. Aside from the legalize, it is a best-practice for professional websites on the Internet. It is professional, and as Wilfred Brimley once said “it’s the right thing to do”.
Love That Feedback
We do love hearing from you. See that link for Contact Us on the menu bar? Go ahead and click on that, and send us a message. We love hearing from other photographers on whatever suggestions, praises, complaints (we like praises better), and questions. Please, feel free to contact us anytime. A real person will even get back to you!
Thank you, and happy photography to all!
